I can’t imagine visiting Melbourne and not doing a little retail therapy! I have to share with you one of the best shopping areas in Melbourne – Hawksburn tucked between South Yarra, Toorak and Prahran. The Hawksburn shopping precinct is basically one block in Malvern Road between Williams and Mathoura Roads. I suggest catching catch a tram, it is so easy and convenient. Myki is your ticket to ride on a Metro tram, bus or train and can be purchased online, 7-Eleven stores and at over 800 retail outlets (www.metrotrains.com.au/tickets/).

In the Hawksburn Shopping Precinct there are boutique fashion shops, Victorian architecture, plenty of trees, wonderful food outlets offering fresh pasta, French pastries, fruit & veg and seafood, speciality deli, sidewalk cafes, kitchen and home-wares shops and restaurants all situated in a village feel atmosphere.

In need of retail therapy I found 50% off in the Gant shop and immediately started my golf wardrobe, lovely pink and pale blue polos and matching cotton jumpers (am having Golf Lessons at Middle Ridge). Then it was over to Feathers Boutique (www.shopfeathers.com.au) for great easy to wear mix and match woman’s clothes and perfect for travelling or wearing anytime! Needless to say I had to have this black jacket.

It was time for a ‘snack and a sit down’ and I found a great little area at the back of the Husk boutique (www.husk.com.au) serving healthy juices, coffee and quality light meals. Perfect for a shopping review before I continued serious retail therapy!
