Hello, I am Jan Knox.
Travel has always been a big part of my life and I am fortunate to have lived and worked in the major Australian cities and overseas in Manila, Bahrain, San Francisco and Toronto during my years as an executive and consultant for major travel organisations.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson so brilliantly said, “Life is a Journey, Not a Destination.” I believe the same can be said for my life so I intend making it the best journey it can be.
I have always appreciated the finer things in life be it an undiscovered gem, a famous Five-Star hotel, a stylish boutique hotel, an interesting cultural experience or a ‘hot’ new restaurant only known to the locals. Importantly sharing these experiences with good friends or family.
I am a strong believer in work-life-balance and travel experiences play an important part in my lifestyle. Now living in Toowoomba (west of Brisbane, Australia) I am a Mentor with the Chamber of Commerce Young Leaders Program, the travel industry TIME mentor program based in Sydney and am a business coach.
I was encouraged to share my travel, food and wine experiences after I attended ‘The Writers Workshop’ in Montalcino Tuscany, ‘the home of Brunello wine’.
